SAFE - LIVEABLE - THRIVING - INCLUSIVE - SUSTAINABLE
Peaceful Bayside is a community action group working to make Bayside, NSW better. Through Heidi Lee Douglas now representing locals as our councillor,
we are bringing fresh, visionary leadership to Bayside.
I AM HEARD
We will listen and respond to the community’s needs by implementing better community consultation.
I AM RESPECTED
We will create more community and cultural events in Bayside, building social cohesion to enrich the lives of residents of all abilities and backgrounds.
I AM SUSTAINABLE
We will address the risks associated with climate change, including implementing a council food waste system and a net zero emissions target.
I AM SAFE
We will help fix dangerous driving and hooning by implementing best practice urban design strategies to better protect our community, working with all vested parties.
I AM COMFORTABLE
We will create well designed shared paths, connectivity for commuting, lighting for night-time activities, and improve facilities for both active and passive users.
I AM HAPPY
We will increase liveability, activities and the social value of residents of all ages.
I AM PROTECTED
We will address the high levels of domestic violence placing a heavy drain on policing resources, by empowering local women socially and financially.
I AM VALUED
We will reduce the amount of development and ensure proper community consultation on the future of Bayside.
I AM AT EASE
We will ensure better management of our precious green spaces, preventing illegal rubbish dumping and restoring biological diversity.
